William Thomas (Tom) Stubblefield, a longtime resident of Killeen, passed away peacefully on June 7, 2017. Tom was blessed with 91 years of good health, a loving family, wonderful friends and a strong faith.
Moving from Brownwood, TX, Killeen became home to the Stubblefield family in 1942. With this move brought change and it was in 1943, at the age of seventeen, Tom joined the United States Navy. He was very proud of his military service and served his country for twenty-six months in the Pacific theatre. Tom served as coxswain aboard the USS Belle Grove and participated in the invasions of Gilbert Islands, Marshall Islands, Saipan, Leyte Gulf, Luzon and Iwo Jima.
It was also in 1943 and prior to his deployment that Tom met Marcella June Reaves. June proved to be the love of his life and they were married on February 22, 1946. Tom and June were blessed with fifty-three years of marriage, countless memories and a love that never died.
Tom was a lifetime, endowed member, and past master of Masonic Lodge 1125 in Killeen. Tom was also past president of the West Bell Shrine Club.
Tom was preceded in death in 2000 when June left this life. Also preceding Tom were his parents James F. and Ester Daniels Stubblefield, brothers Robert and Richard Romaine Stubblefield, sisters Margaret Spray and Frankie McKay, and granddaughter Roni Stubblefield.
Tom is survived by his two loving sons Tommy Stubblefield and wife, Debra, of Houston; Ronnie Stubblefield and wife, Barbie, of Katy; grandchildren Doug Stubblefield, JT Stubblefield, and Matt Stubblefield, great grandchildren Roni Jo Stubblefield, John Zachery Stubblefield, and Tyler Cash Stubblefield.
There will be a graveside service at the Killeen Cemetery on Thursday, June 15, 2017 at 11 AM.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be given in Tom's memory to Lifeway Fellowship Church, 4001 Elms Road, Killeen, TX 76542.
Arrangements are entrusted to Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home of Killeen.

Tom and I have been good friends for the past 55 years. We were both members in the Killeen Lodge. We will surely miss him, We also went to a lot of dances with him. We are thinking of you at this time. Bill & Patsy Melton

I have too many memories to put into words. I will cherish those memories. My Uncle Tom was a caring, loving, wonderful man. I will miss him so much. He is now with the love of his life, my Aunt June and in the loving arms of our Heavenly Father. Rest in Pease Uncle Tom. I will miss you. So proud to be your niece. All my love, Judy
