William Allen Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Mar. 19, 2012.

ALLEN, William George- It is with great sorrow that the family of Bill Allen announces his passing at the St. Catharines General Hospital on Friday March 16, 2012 in his 90th year. He was a devoted family man, the beloved husband of the late Molly (2010) and loving father of Peggy and Jane; dear father-in-law of Paul and proud grandfather of Alex. He is survived by his brother, Jim (Muriel) and sister-in-law Joan. Predeceased by his brother Robert and sister Betty. He will be fondly remembered by his nieces and nephews. Bill spent forty-two years as x-ray technician at the Shaver Hospital. He had a long, productive and happy life and bore his final illness with patience and dignity. The family will receive friends at the HULSE & ENGLISH FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 75 Church Street (905-684-6346) on Tuesday March 20th, 2012 from 7-9pm. The Funeral Service will take place at St. Columba Church (7 St. Columba Dr.) on Wednesday March 21st at 11:00am. Cremation and private interment will follow. In Lieu of flowers, a donation to the Lung Association or a charity of your choice would be appreciated. On-line tributes may be made at www.hulseandenglish.com.
