William "Bill" Bradley
1941 – 2010

It is with extreme sadness we announce the passing of William A. (Bill) Bradley on September 7th, 2010 at his farm home near Stranraer, SK surrounded by family. He is survived by his loving wife and best friend Lynn, sons, Scott (Charlene), Trent (Stephanie), Todd (Kyla); grandchildren Mitchell, Georgia, Adam, Madison, Delaney and Tyler Bradley; sisters Verna Mae Demers, Jean (Blair) Porter, Geri Rea; sisters-in-law Linda Bradley and Shirley Salkeld and many nieces and nephews and their families. He was predeceased by his father Vern (1953), twin brother Bob (1997) and mother Marjorie (2006). Bill was born in Rosetown, SK on April 5th, 1941 to Vern and Marjorie Bradley. After graduating form North West Central High school in Plenty, Sk he attended the college of engineering at the U of S. Bill returned to the family farm and in 1964 married Lynn Charters of Stranraer. He farmed with his brother Bob, then son Scott. Bill was active in many Boards and community ventures. He was proudest of the development of Twin Towers Ski Hill. He and brother Bob operated the rental shop for over 15 years. He never gave up hope that the Ski Hill would continue on for all his grandchildren and community to enjoy. Bill served on the RM of Mountain View council from 1968 and became Reeve in 1987 until today. He was very passionate with every project he pursued. Bill and son Todd began a unique and innovative mapping business 'Bradley Directories' in 1995. In 2002 he was honored with the Queens Medal of Community service from Lieutenant Governor Linda Haverstock. Bill had a tremendous love for music, an avid rhythm guitar player starting many bands; Billy and the Kids; Jiffy; Six Pack to name a few. Bill and Lynn loved to travel, spending many winters with the boys and family friends skiing the Rocky Mountains and attending Scouting camps in the summers. They continued to travel around North American and Japan with special friends and family. He had an energy about him that was indescribable. Family and friends were his highest priority. Conversation and debate were one of his greatest attributes. Every stranger was just a friend he hadn't met. The Funeral Service was held on Friday, September 10th at the Stranraer Community Hall at 2:00 p.m. with Reverend Helen Mooney officiating. Interment followed at the Stranraer Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Rosetown & District Health Centre Foundation or a Charity of one's Choice. Clements Rosetown Funeral Home was entrusted with the arrangements.
