William D. (Dub) Brittain, Sr. Mr. Brittain was born May 19, 1920 in Houston and entered heaven on August 27, 2012. He served proudly in the U.S. Air Force during WWII from May 12, 1942 until Sept. 3, 1945. He flew 25 missions as a tail gunner in the B17, "Maryland My Maryland". He worked for Clayton Stores in Houston for 43 years and was a charter member of Airline Methodist in Houston; and for the last 3 years was a member of Northside Baptist Church in Killeen area. He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Beulah, sons: W.D. Brittain Jr & wife Linda, Gary Brittain & wife Brenda; daughter, Linda Phillips & husband...

Brittain Jr & wife Linda, Gary Brittain & wife Brenda; daughter, Linda Phillips & husband Olton; 10 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren. Services for William D. (Dub) Brittain Sr, 92 of Belton, formally of Houston will be at 11:00a.m. on Thursday, August 30th at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Fwy, Houston. Visitation will be from 5:00p.m.-8:00p.m. on Wednesday, August 29th.
