William A. Davis (Bill) passed away November 20, 2012. He was born in Dayton, Ohio on September 30, 1935 to Carl J. Davis and Martha Davis. Survivors include his wife of almost 45 years, Barbara J. Davis; son, William A. Davis, Jr. (Shirley); step-daughter, Melissa Lowry (Ralph); sister, Betty Murray and brother, Robert Davis, all of Ohio. He was predeceased by his parents; brothers, Carl J. Jr., Richard and Rodney; sister, Patricia and step-son Randy McCarty (Ruth). He is also survived by five step-grandchildren, seven step-great grandchildren and one step great-great grandchild. Survivors include his wife of almost 45 years, Barbara J. Davis; son, William A. Davis, Jr. (Shirley); step-daughter, Melissa Lowry (Ralph); sister, Betty Murray and brother, Robert Davis, all of Ohio.
He was predeceased by his parents; brothers, Carl J. Jr., Richard and Rodney; sister, Patricia and step-son Randy McCarty (Ruth). He is also survived by five step-grandchildren, seven step-great grandchildren and one step great-great grandchild.
Bill served in the army from 1955-1962. He received an associate degree from The Ohio State University.
A private service for family and close friends will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers contributions in Bill's name may be made to the Halifax Humane Society.
