Bill Duggan, a faithful servant of the Lord, has passed to his reward on Sept. 28th. He was loved by his wife, Mary of 52 years and his six children, Mary Ellen, Billy, Monica, Michael, Sean and Kevin, and his twelve grandchildren as well has his brother Tom. He was predeceased by his father William Duggan, mother Catherine O'Shea and brothers John and Joe. He was born in Brooklyn, New York and graduated from St. John's University, Fordham Law School and New York University. He retired from News Corp. as their tax director. In his retirement, he traveled with Mary to six continents and celebrated his 75th birthday in Ireland with family. Bill retired to Hilton Head, South Carolina. He was active serving as secretary to NAMI Beaufort County, a volunteer at Holy Family Church and a member of the Knights of Columbus. In retirement he discovered and fostered his love for painting. Friends may call at Leo P. Gallagher Funeral Home at 2900 Summer Street in Stamford, CT from 4pm-8pm on Tuesday, October 2nd. A Mass of Christian burial will be at St. Leo's Church on Wednesday at 11am. Interment will be private.
