M/Sgt. William J. Jordan, Jr. USAF (Retired) passed away at the age of 70. He was born in Alexandria, Virginia to William and Ossie (Hammond) Jackson. He served in Vietnam and his many awards include the Air Medal with three Oak Leaf Clusters, Air Force Commendation Medal with one Oak Leaf Cluster, Purple Heart, Distinguished-Presidential Unit Citation with one Oak Leaf Cluster, Air Force Outstanding Unit Award with two Oak Leaf Clusters, Air Force Good Conduct Medal with six Oak Leaf Clusters, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal with two Bronze Service Stars, Air Force Overseas Ribbon, Air Force Longevity Service...
M/Sgt. William J. Jordan, Jr. USAF (Retired) passed away at the age of 70. He was born in Alexandria, Virginia to William and Ossie (Hammond) Jackson. He served in Vietnam and his many awards include the Air Medal with three Oak Leaf Clusters, Air Force Commendation Medal with one Oak Leaf Cluster, Purple Heart, Distinguished-Presidential Unit Citation with one Oak Leaf Cluster, Air Force Outstanding Unit Award with two Oak Leaf Clusters, Air Force Good Conduct Medal with six Oak Leaf Clusters, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal with two Bronze Service Stars, Air Force Overseas Ribbon, Air Force Longevity Service Award with five Oak Leaf Clusters, NCO Professional Military Education Graduate Ribbon, Small Arms Expert Marksmanship Ribbon, Republic of Vietnam Gallantry Cross with Palm Device and the Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal. He was a beloved member of Ernest W. Lyon Lodge #107 F. & A.M. Preceded in death by his parents; two step-sons, Ronnie F. Lilly, and James D. Lilly. Survived by his wife, Joyce Jordan; children, William J. Jordan III, Alonzo Don Carlos Jordan, Dexter Nathaniel Jordan, La' Tanya Jordan, Anthony Jordan, Debra Hunter, Melinda Hartley, Donald L. Lilly, Yvonne Johnson; Numerous Grandchildren, and Great Grandchildren; sister, Clara Shaw; Brothers, James Jordan, and Larry Ayers; and Numerous Nieces, Nephews, Aunts, and Uncles. A visitation will be held in the Colonial Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, September 16, 2010 from 10:00 A.M. to 12:00 Noon and the funeral service will begin at 12:00 Noon. Interment to follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery with full military honors and Masonic Rites. Arrangements under the direction of Colonial Funeral Home, Universal City, TX.
