We're so sorry for the pain and grief you're going through. Until you've lost a parent you truly can't understand the pain. The days ahead won't be easy but each day will be a little better. We know how proud your dad is of the man you've become. We're so sorry we couldn't be there for the funeral as we were out of town. You and your whole family remain in our prayers.

Brian and Adam, I am so sorry to hear of your fathers battle and your recent loss of him. I met you both at Aunt Helen Mae`s funeral for the first time and could see how proud Billy was of you two. Our mothers were sisters and were very close so we spent a lot of time growing up together. My brothers and Billy spent a lot of time exploring what the world held for them to enjoy. I wish you could get some time talking with them telling you of their experiences as they grew up together. I am so sorry to not to have been able to have attended his funeral services today. Please know that we care about you all and wish that we could have been there. God bless you now and in all the days to follow. Please fill free to contact us.

Words cannot express how deeply I feel about the loss of your dad. Nothing prepares you for this event in your life. I do believe Billy is not suffering anymore as Gary is not. I'm glad Billy had you guys by his side during his time of illness caring and supporting him through it. You guys were truly the apple of his eye. I want to be there today but I'm unable to do so. My prayers are with you today and the days to come. May the Lord help and strengthen and keep you guys. Lets not forget that we are family and I mean it when I say if you need anything let me know!

Adam and Brian, I am so sorry for your loss. Billy was a very good man with a kind heart and always had time for everyone. I am sorry I did not get to meet you both until this time but it is evident of how good a father he was because you both have turned out to be very nice young men. I know he was very proud of you and talked about you all the time at NCDOT. I consider it a profound privilege that I got to work with your father and will always consider him a true friend and a wonderful human being. Be assured and take comfort that we will see him again and Heaven just got a little more friendlier with him there. God Bless and his Peace be with you.
