William Mason McDonald, 65, of Louisville passed away Wednesday, February 5, 2014. He was the eldest son born to Benjamin F. and Alice Robertson McDonald of Harrods Creek, Kentucky on August 19, 1948. Bill was a graduate of Westport High School, class of 1966, attended Western Kentucky University. He was a U.S. Army Veteran and proudly served his country during the Vietnam War. He was a retired instructor of the original RETS Electronic School. Bill was preceded in death by his father, Benjamin F. McDonald. Survivors include his mother; Alice R. McDonald; brother, Ben F. William Mason McDonald, 65, of Louisville passed away Wednesday, February 5, 2014.
He was the eldest son born to Benjamin F. and Alice Robertson McDonald of Harrods Creek, Kentucky on August 19, 1948.
Bill was a graduate of Westport High School, class of 1966, attended Western Kentucky University.
He was a U.S. Army Veteran and proudly served his country during the Vietnam War. He was a retired instructor of the original RETS Electronic School.
Bill was preceded in death by his father, Benjamin F. McDonald.
Survivors include his mother; Alice R. McDonald; brother, Ben F. McDonald (Jane Deutsch) and girlfriend, Debbie Denton.
A celebration of life will be conducted on Sunday, February 9th 2014, at 5 p.m. in the chapel of Arch L. Heady & Son Funeral Home at Westport Village 7410 Westport Road. Visitation will be from 2-4:30 p.m.
Expressions of sympathy can be made through donations to the Wounded Warriors Project in Bill's name.
