Sandy's dream to see the popularity of the sport he so loved grow was realized when before the present 9 member nations he was singled out and presented the Lifetime Achievement Award. Very sad to hear the passing of a great person and a true ambassador of the best sport ever, aka Shuffleboard.
I feel very honored to have met him at the ocasion of his acceptance of the ISA Lifetime Achievement Award, in St Petersburg, Florida, in 2013.
May he rest in peace and God comfort the hearts of his friends and family.
Sincerely,

TRIBUTE TO SANDY MYERS BY SAM ALLEN
SANDY MYERS - ONE OF A KIND!!
He played shuffleboard for fun and fellowship. A true ambassador for the sport of shuffleboard. Knowing Sandy, listing all of his accomplishments would not be his wish - such as playing on ISA Teams in Australia, Clearwater, Edmonton, Goderich, Hendersonville and Japan. He also traveled on all ISA Inaugurals.
Sandy's major contribution to shuffleboard and mainly the International Shuffleboard Association was introducing how the computer could be utilized in the international market.
Sandy is the father of the ISA computer age. He established the first ISA Website: then encouraged other countries to use the computer vehicle as a means of communication.
His second major contribution was inventing the Roll Out Court which is now used in at least 10 countries. His Roll Out Court made it possible for shuffleboard expansion as folks could now play indoors in any type of weather.
Sandy and Marg; - we love you both and appreciate all you have both done to develop the sport of shuffleboard into a world sport.
Sam Allen 2007 08 18; 26th ISA BANQUET, (MIDLAND, ONTARIO)
SHUFFLER'S NOTE: The very courts on which the 26th ISA event was played were designed and manufactured by Sandy in 1993.
