Mike, Linda and Jim, I knew you and Billy when we were about 6 y o and your Mom, Rachel would take us to Angie's since she was the best nurse around when we had sore throats. Rachel was my sister, Nancy Elkins Abrams godmother, so we were close as little kids. I also remember when Rachel, Bill and my mom, Martie lived at Abbotswood in more recent times. My love and prayers to each of you at this time. May you find reasons to rejoice in Christ at this Easter season. Judith Elkins Donovan, Littleton CO

Billy was a gentle spirit and kind soul, not to mention my favorite of the Scholsser brothers. Growing up across the street, I have such fond memories of Billy “watching over me”. I can see him vividly offering me a wave and a nod as he stood smiling on his front porch, side porch or driveway. This friendly greeting upon which our friendship was built meant more to me then he may have ever known. Billy's influence was part of what lead me to a career of working with kids with Special needs. For that, I am forever grateful to him.
The love and devotion of Billy's family undoubtedly enriched his life and extended his years well beyond expectation. He was truly blessed, and likewise, was a blessing to so many. Surely all who met him loved him. I know I did.

Mike, Linda and Jimmy, Bobby was kind enough to send me the obit on Billy. I remember playing cowboys and Indians with him on the playground way before any of us started school. He always agreed to be whatever we wanted him to be--bad guy, good guy, horse. I think I "married" him when I was about 5 in a ceremony in which you officiated, Linda. Your dad was so proud when he learned to ride a bike. Your mom was so proud of the chicken picture he made by gluing corn and peas to a cardboard frame. He had a good life, the best he possibly could, because of the loving care of his family. You guys are great.--Betty Bain Osborn

Dear Michael,
I will never forget Billy and his wonderful smile and sweet personality. Your parents were so great in that they took him almost everywhere with them. I'm sure he's the "newest angel" right now.
