William Franklin Seymour, 71, of Dallas, Georgia passed away Saturday, July 20, 2013. Mr. Seymour was born July 22, 1941 in W. Palm Beach, Florida, the son of Anna Mae and the late John D. Seymour, Sr., was retired from Anheuser-Busch, Inc., was a U.S. Coast Guard Veteran, was a 1959 graduate of Andrew Jackson High School in Jacksonville, Florida, was a member of the American Legion, was a member of Heritage Baptist Church where he served as Deacon and was a Sunday School Teacher. Mr. Seymour was born July 22, 1941 in W. Palm Beach, Florida, the son of Anna Mae and the late John D. Seymour, Sr., was retired from Anheuser-Busch, Inc., was a U.S. Coast Guard Veteran, was a 1959 graduate of Andrew Jackson High School in Jacksonville, Florida, was a member of the American Legion, was a member of Heritage Baptist Church where he served as Deacon and was a Sunday School Teacher.
Mr. Seymour was preceded in death by his father, a brother, John D. Seymour, Jr. and his grandmother, Lillian Coleman.
Surviving is his wife, Piety Seymour of Dallas, children, daughter and son in law, Deborah and Armando Guevara of Dallas, son and daughter in law, William, Jr. and Nicole Seymour of Cartersville, grandchildren, Lauren and Amber Seymour and Antonio and Lillian Guevara, his mother, Ann C. Allen of Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida and a number of nieces and nephew and cousins.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 25, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. at Heritage Baptist Church with Rev. Michael Tutterow and Rev. Jeff Wright officiating.
Burial will follow at 1:00 P.M. in the Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, Georgia with Military Honors.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday evening from 6:00-8:00 p.m.
Pallbearers will be William Seymour,Jr., Armando Guevara, Marshall Echols, David Roberts, Billy Graham and Will Boyter.
Members of the R.S.V.P. Sunday School Class will serve as honorary pallbearers.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Heritage Baptist Church Building Fund.
Owen Funeral Home, 12 Collins Drive, Cartersville, Georgia is in charge of the arrangements.
