Mr. Stayton was born on October 26, 1943 in Lake Charles, Louisiana and passed away on January 14, 2014, in Fort Worth, Texas after a courageous battle with a rare spinal cord disease known as NMO. He served his country in the United States Air Force after attending Louisiana State University. He worked as a salesman and then as a mail carrier for the United States Post Office before retirement. He loved bowling, LSU Tiger football, and trading stocks. He was a gifted natural athlete throughout much of his life. He is survived by his two sons, Jeffrey Stayton and wife Lonette of Memphis, Tennessee, and Matthew Stayton and wife Dana of Fort Worth, Texas. He is also survived by his sisters, Janet Stayton of Pietrasanta, Italy, and Jeanne Middleton of The Woodlands, Texas. He is also survived by his grandson, Riley Stayton. A host of other loving extended family and friends also survive, including Rick and Rhonda Logan and other caregivers at Logan's Run Senior Living in Burleson, Texas.
