WILLIAM G. STERLING

LAKELAND - William G. Sterling, 85, passed away in Lakeland on July 26th due to a heart attack. He was born on January 30, 1927. He served in the Navy from 1944-1948.

William was preceded in death by his wife, Juanita and son, Marvin Gibbs. He is survived by three daughters, Nancy Koehler-Sterling, Evelyn Lyzenga, and Colleen Gibbs; a son, Tom Koehler; four grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 31st from 10-11, with a service following at 11 at Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Polk City. A luncheon will follow the service.

Graveside services will be later that day at 2:30 at Glen Abbey Memorial Gardens in Auburndale.
