William H. Townsend, Sr., 71 years of age passed away on July 21, 2017 in Casa Grande, Arizona. He was born on February 9, 1946 in New Albany, Indiana to the late Harold and Mary (Lenfert) Townsend. Bill was a 1964 graduate of Our Lady of Providence High School. He was a salesman/owner in the auto parts industry for over 30 years and retired from Southern Tool Supply. Along with his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his brother, Charles Townsend.
Survivors include his wife, Leda Schellenberger Townsend; sons, William Townsend, Jr. (Angie), Michael Townsend (Leslie); step-daughters, Elizabeth Reed, Laura Palma-Blandford (Daniel); sister, Janet Townsend Harmeling (Charles); 9 grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm Friday at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Road, New Albany, Indiana. His Funeral Service will be 11:00 am Saturday at the funeral home chapel with burial to follow at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park.
The family requests expressions of sympathy to go to Hosparus of Southern Indiana.

So sorry to hear of your brother's passing, Janet. Would have been there if we could have. Didn't know much about Bill (He was MUCH older) (ahem) than I (I graduated in '65 ) but know he has met up with my brother, Walt in paradise. Prayers and hugs from Dave and I.
