William Norman Waldroop, age 70, a resident of Kingsville, Texas passed away Saturday, December 18, 2010 in Corpus Christi, Texas. Mr. Waldroop was born in Okmulgee, Oklahoma to Joe Bill Waldroop and Della Jane Rhoads Waldroop. He was a former mechanic employee of U.R.I.. Mr. Waldroop served in three military branches, Army, Air Force and Navy. He was a veteran of the Vietnam Era and retired from the Navy. Mr. Waldroop was a faithful member of King's Way Family Church. William Norman Waldroop, age 70, a resident of Kingsville, Texas passed away Saturday, December 18, 2010 in Corpus Christi, Texas. He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Ofilia Waldroop of Kingsville; one son, Steven Wayne (Celeste) Waldroop of Flower Mound, Texas; two daughters, Larraine Annette Waldroop of Broad Channel, New York and Maria Elena (Alexander) Medina of Kingsville; one brother, Troy Waldroop of Oklahoma; one sister, Jody (Leon) Bogard of Oklahoma; and three grandchildren.
Visitation will take place on Wednesday, December 22, 2010 from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at the Turcotte-Piper Mortuary. Funeral service will be held at 4:30 p.m. Thursday, December 23, 2010 at the Turcotte-Piper Mortuary Chapel with Rev. Edwin Cann officiating. At the conclusion of the chapel service, full military honors will take place outside of the mortuary with honors provided by the Veterans of Kleberg County Military Funeral Detail.
Services are entrusted to Turcotte-Piper Mortuary, 205 General Cavazos Blvd., Kingsville, Texas.
