WILLIE L. ADAMS
MACON – Willie L. Adams, 91, passed away Wednesday, April 18, 2012 at the Georgia War Veterans Home. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m., Monday, April 23, 2012 at Snow's Memorial Chapel, Cherry Street with burial in Middle Georgia Memory Gardens. The Rev. Bill Torrance will officiate. The family will meet friends from 2 p.m. until service time Monday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Georgia War Veterans Home, 2249 Vinson Highway, SE, Milledgeville, GA 31061.
Mr. Adams, son of the late William Jackson Adams and Annie Leola Ryles Adams, was born in Milledgeville. He served in the U. S. Army during World War II. Mr. Adams was a foreman and heavy equipment operator with Burns Brick Co. He was of the Baptist faith and loved to hunt and fish.
He will be missed by the family he adored, his sons, Jerry L. (Jaymie C.) Adams of Macon and Ronald D. (Janet B.) Adams of Jefferson, GA; his daughter, Susan A. (Jimmy L.) Cox of Macon; six grandchildren, Jerry L. Adams, Jr., James Scott (Sue) Adams, Candy (Michael) Taylor and Christy (Derrick) Knight, all of Macon and Camille (John) King of Denver, NC and R. Jason (Lynel) Adams of Gainesville; ten great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; two sisters, Jane Torrance of Centerville and Anne Amos of Macon and several nieces and nephews.
