Winfred James 'WJ/Winnie/Win' Brown, 87, went home to be with his Lord on November 7, 2013. Win was born on June 24, 1926, in Morland, Kansas. He was one of six children. He graduated from Colorado Springs Bible School in 1950.

Win married his childhood sweetheart, Esther Fern Bell, on September 12, 1946, and lived an exemplary life-long love affair. Win and Esther have a son, James Delbert "JD" Brown, and a daughter, Charlene Ruth (Brown) Lewis.

Win served in the U.S. Army during World War II from 1944 to 1946. He was ordained into the ministry on June 30, 1952 and served as a faithful pastor in Stratton, Nebraska; Boulder and Colorado Springs, Colorado. He served as District Superintendant of the Wesleyan Church in the Colorado/Nebraska district for 15 years and served on the Board of Trustees of Oklahoma Wesleyan University, Bartlesville, OK.

Win's hobbies included tatting, for which he won several county and state fair awards, and clock repairing, for which he was widely known as a master clock repairman.

His wife, Esther, preceded him in death after 55 years of marriage. Mr. Brown is survived by his son, James Delbert (Minnie Lehman) of Scottsdale, AZ; daughter, Charlene Ruth (Richard Lewis) of Colorado Springs, CO; one brother, Donald Brown; five grandchildren: Bonnie Weisberg (Todd), Shawn Lewis (Kristen), Shanell Lewis and Jeremy Brown (Aimee).

He was preceded in death by one grandchild (J.J. Brown); one brother, Archie; three sisters; Twila, Sylvia and Goldia.

The prides of his recent years were his six great-grandchildren who deeply loved their "Grandpa Great"!

One of Win's favorite statements was – "Hi! My name is Win, without me it's a "No-Win situation."
