Winifred C. Caldwell, 92, of Clearfield, passed away Friday, April 29, 2011 at Colonial Courtyard.
She was born March 31, 1919 in Grampian, the daughter of the late Roy and Alice (McClure) Caldwell.
She was a graduate of Clearfield High School and of Duff Business School in Pittsburgh. She retired from County National Bank where she was a secretary to the President for 45 years.
Winifred was a Quaker by birth. She was an avid reader, enjoyed walking, nature, animals and was very family oriented.
Ms. Caldwell is survived by two nieces: Linda Caldwell Litz of Sandusky, OH and Margo Caldwell of Charlottesville, VA a sister-in-law, Madalyn Caldwell former wife of Herbert, two grand nieces: Amy (Tim) Didion and family and Nicole (Brian) Sabo and family.
She is preceded in death by parents, two brothers, Herbert and Kenneth Caldwell and an infant brother Merlin Caldwell.
Service will be held at 10AM on Wednesday, May 4, 2011 at the Bennett and Houser Funeral Home with Rev. John White officiating. Interment will be at Friends Cemetery in Grampian.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to the Orphans of the Storm, 412 Hill Street, Curwensville, PA 16833.
