Winnith "Ray" Malcolm, age 87 of Knoxville, passed away May 17, 2017. Ray was employed at Oak Ridge Y-12 plant for 42 years. He was also a professional "Mr. Fixer-Upper" at home, church and the community. Ray was a member of First Baptist Church of Knoxville. Preceded in death by his parents, Floyd Davis and Susan Edmondson Malcolm; wife, Lequita "Fay" Malcolm. Ray is survived by his wife, Arleen Becker Malcolm; sons, Mike and wife Kelly Malcolm, Ronnie Malcolm; daughter, Pam; grandchildren, Ryan, Landon and wife Ashley, Courtney, Lindsay and Nicholas; step children, Drs. Joe and Jan DeLozier, Amy Zarra and husband Mickey; step grandchildren, Meg, Sarah, Jan, Ansley, Mindy, and Karlie. Family and friends will meet 10:45 am Monday at Grandview Cemetery in Maryville for an 11:00 am graveside service. Merciful thanks to Deanne Hill Place and U.T. Hospice for their kind, loving care. Ray was a wonderful man always wanting to brighten the day. He shared his ability to make household items such as a towel holder and frequently gave these away. He will be missed tremendously by family and friends.
