My nana Yolanda Maria Diaz Richards was born October 23 1945 in Guadalajara Jalisco, first born of Antonio and Julia Diaz she is survived by 3 brothers, 6 sisters and 3 sons. Yolanda and Alberto Richard married in 1964 two years later they had their first son Javier Diaz Richards, soon after they would welcome there second son Mario Richards and there youngest son Ronnie Richards into their lives. In 1974 they purchased their first home together, where they raised their children, grandchildren and their great grandchildren. My nana raised 6 granddaughters 1 grandson and 2 great granddaughters. My nana was an amazing woman, a beautiful daughter, a loving mother, a sister and the best grandmother god could give. Her whole life she spent making sure other people were happy, her life were her sons, her grand babies and her family, she put everybody above herself. I can't remember my nana ever being mad she was always smiling and laughing she was filled with happiness. Her laugh was unforgettable, she was always so spirited and full of life. Everybody that knew Yolanda loved her, and she loved us all, she was everyone's Tia and everyone's nana. She made sure when you walked into her home whether you had eaten or not, you went home stuffed like a piggy. She was one crazy charger fan, I can still picture her pacing back and forth from living room to living room with two televisions on, rubbing her lucky charger earrings while she yelled at the tv. The memory of my nana will live on in all of us, she was beautiful, kind and caring she was selfless she was love and she was filled with life and laughter, when I think of her I think of happiness. Although my nana is no longer here on earth with us, she is with us in spirit, in memory and in our hearts forever. I love you nana
