Yoshiko Lassiter February 24, 1930 ~ March 2, 2014 Pacific Grove ~ Yoshiko Lassiter passed away peacefully at her home on March 2nd. Yoshiko was born in Manila and raised in the Philippines and Japan (her father was Japanese). She has lived in Fort Ord and Pacific Grove for the past 49 years. Yoshiko was truly a gifted artist and was proud to have much of her work copyrighted. She had a green-thumb and enjoyed working in her beautiful garden especially among her roses. Yoshiko had a degree in Japanese flower arrangement as well as an AA degree from Monterey Peninsula College. She also enjoyed playing tennis and the piano. Yoshiko...

Pacific Grove ~ Yoshiko Lassiter passed away peacefully at her home on March 2nd. Yoshiko was born in Manila and raised in the Philippines and Japan (her father was Japanese). She has lived in Fort Ord and Pacific Grove for the past 49 years.

Yoshiko was truly a gifted artist and was proud to have much of her work copyrighted. She had a green-thumb and enjoyed working in her beautiful garden especially among her roses. Yoshiko had a degree in Japanese flower arrangement as well as an AA degree from Monterey Peninsula College. She also enjoyed playing tennis and the piano.

Yoshiko is survived by her husband of sixty-three years, Don, her sister, Namiko, her son, Albert Einstein (Jena) Lassiter, and her grandsons Dr. Brian Einstein (Dr. Robin Lassonde) Lassiter, Adam Michael Lassiter and Isaac Newton Lassiter. She was preceded in death by her son, Phillip, in 1998 and her brother, Masanori.

A Memorial Service will be held at the Paul Mortuary in Pacific Grove on Sunday, March 16 at 2:00 PM.
