I am in shock, Mr. Lee was one of the finest human beings I've EVER met! He was kind, generous, funny and brilliant. He taught me everything I know about cigars and NEVER once up sold me... and he could have... many times. I know I will never meet anyone like him again. My heart goes out to his family... and selfishly, I will be sad for a very long time. I will never forget him... goodnight Young "Don" Lee... you WILL be missed!

Am so saddened to learn of Young's passing. My deepest condolences to Hwi Seon & Connie. Young was so well known as a great businessman in Phoenix and I had the pleasure of knowing him even before Don's Cigars as we worked together at Circle K International. He was always a man of his word and had great integrity. Young will be missed by many.

We are deeply saddened by the untimely passing of Young. He was the most honest cigar purveyor and business man I've ever met. I have dragged many a person there to meet him whether they Smoke or not. The first time I met him, he followed me into the humidor and didn't say a word. He noticed what I was looking at and remarked that I had made a fine choice and recommended and even better box of cigars for la better price. I stopped at that moment and turned to look him in the eye. He was unwavering. Still silent and smiling. A friend gifted an expensive lighter and it broke. He fixed it on the spot so I wouldn't have to wait to mail it in. I imagine that a man of that caliber walked that path in the same fashion in many aspects of his life. Personal, family, and business. I've traveled the world's cigar shops. Young was the best. And still will be. There are some people that make their mark in the world and we never forget them and they will never die in our hearts. We would like to hold a cigar candle light vigil. 480-415-4073. I hope that others will contact me to make his happen.

My deepest condolences to the Lee family. Young was a great friend and brilliant businessman. He and I spend hours in the shop discussing ideas, real estate investments, and life. My daughter loved coming in with me because she was always treated as family. He build a great business and created a community of people because of that business. I kept my cigars in a locker there for at least 17 years. The back room was the starting point for many ideas and some business deals where I could meet with clients there. I will miss Young but will continue to see Don's as a special place and his memory will continue to bring me a smile as I dedicate future toasts to him in the special place he built. You will be in my prayers and thoughts. Know that there is a group of guys in Phoenix that were positively effected by the many friendships that were developed at Don's and will be there to call on if you need anything.

My wife, Pam, and I are stunned by the loss of Lee. He always greeted us with a welcoming and gracious spirit, and showed a keen and genuine interest in us personally. During my weekly visits to the shop over these past eight years, Lee and I would often be alone to discuss everything from sports to family dogs, but usually punctuated by positive plans and hopes for the future. I am particularly saddened by the reality of the loss of those encouraging conversations, and the plans and hopes they represented for Lee and his family.

To the Lee Family: Suzanne and I are deeply sorry for your loss. Mr. Young Lee was not only a small business ownwer, but a legend in the Phoenix cigar busienss. His sincerity in service to his customers made his store a daily visit for hundreds of loyal customers; and where many new friendships and busienss relationships were born. His humanity naturally drew people to him and the fellowship environment he created. He will be missed and never forgotten and each time 1000's of us light a cigar....It will be his life we honor!

Ms. Lee, Connie, and family, my sincerest condolences to you. My heart aches for you and for the loss of a very good friend. I only came to know Mr. Lee a little over three years ago. Over those three years I spent many, many hours lounging at the store, studying my graduate work, getting to know new friends, and just enjoying a fine cigar with perhaps an occasional sip. My wife always asked if I was at my second office.
Two years ago he asked me to emcee his famous golf tournament. What a fantastic businessman, host, and friend he was to so many people. I will miss being called Principal John, boss, and schmuck. I will miss our little two dollar bets on the silliest things you could think of on a sporting event. I will miss his advise and wisdom he shared with me as I pursued my career. I will remember my good friend for the rest of my life. Rest in peace Mr. Lee.

Mr. Lee was a wonderful man, great businessman, and friend. The Friday afternoon group, the "Misfits", always gave Mr. Lee many laughs. "Boss" many fist bumps, may you rest in peace.

To the Lee family my heart felt sorrow is with you and all the guy's at the shop. It will never be the same without his greeting and smile when I would come by for a cigar and a talk. May you all find some peace soon.
