Hello my childhood friend!
Let me begin by telling you how sorry I am for not staying in touch over the years. I still remember the last time I saw you. It was back in 1987 and you were standing at your locker in one of the hallways at David Starr Jordan Jr. High. I dont recall our conversation, but I do know we no longer shared a classroom. I went through our 7th grade year without you and that summer, my parents decided to move to Glendale, California. You and I lost touch and for some reason managed to grow up apart. I never forgot you or the memorirs we share. I have always loved you like a brother and although I had my own issues and insecurities to deal with, you were always there from grade 2 through 7. I have never forgotten about you, nor will I ever. I was beyond shocked to learn of your passing and I feel blessed to have come across your sister, Juliette via facebook. I love you, old friend. I miss you and will eternally remember you. Thank You for your friendship during our youth. You never knew this, but you were always the wind beneath my wings. You will always remain in my heart. Till we meet again, God Bless you and Godspeed.

I never knew you in real life, Xander, but you are missed on Ciliatus and Pangea. Your kindness and sense of humor made my day. It's been a whilesince my first message, but I never stop thinking of you and your amazing Mardi Gras geckos. Your and your family are still in my prayers every night.

Your Family

Alexander, this will be the final entry in your guestbook. We want you to know you will be forever remembered by us and your memory will live on in us all. It was a pleasure to have you in our lives albeit a short a time as it was...We will remember the fun and the laughs we shared through our lives together. It was a struggle to grow up, but having you as a brother made childhood an adventure each and every day. I want you to know I looked up to you in many ways although I didn't let you in on that fact which now I wish I had. Thank you Alex. Thank you for being a wonderful son. We thank you for being a fantastic brother, Thank you for being a loving and caring uncle...thank you for being our friend. While this is not goodbye, perhaps it is a see you again "wayward traveler"...With all of our love. - Mom, Eddie, Dianne, Juliette + (baby Hansel), Serena, Morgan, Joe and Jeremy.

I'm so sorry you had to go to God at such a young and beautiful age. I love your sister and your Mom and shared some of the memories that only those that have lost ones so dear to your heart can understand. We all know that you're in a much better place but Alex, you have to have patience with those of us that were left behind because the pain of missing you at times is so very hard to endure. Please know that your family is very much loved. May this knowledge give you peace.

I will always remember Alex, he was such a character, always made me smile. I have a picture of Alex holding Nick when he was tiny. Alex had given Nick a rasta hat to wear, It was so cute. Sean, Alex and I used to go everywhere together. We all had some good times. I will cherish these memories and I pray that Alex is at peace in Heaven.

Mom

My dearest darling Xander. I remember all of the best times I spent with you my baby boy. All the times where the most precious to my heart. I remember when you would come to me and tell me Mom I am hungry or Mom I need a snack and I would love to get it for you. After this you would come and sit on my bed and talk to me about your day and about your life. This is what I will miss most. This is what breaks my heart. I will remember the last time you came to my room and sat. I remember the last words you spoke to me. "Goodnight Mom" and in the morning you were gone. I love you, I love you my baby...Forever until we meet again.

My dear friend Alex,
Well what can i say??? So much that i don't even know where to begin....I met him in 2004 at our place of employment. He was always so nice, caring, willing to help and SWEET!!! He looked like a "Rock Star", as my little girl said when she saw him. He looked tough, but believe me, sweet and the nicest person ever, is who Alex was.
I remember once when one of our co-workers was having a diabetic attack, who was there in a second to help? Alex. His job duties?? This was the kind of guy that went far and beyond his job duties. He was not just a custodian, he was also a friend, nurse, playground supervisor, teacher, aide, food server...follow me? There was none of that, "This is not in my job description" with Alex, he was always willing to do or help in whatever way possible. I left that job before he left us, but what can i say; we have so many memories together; lunchtime, afterschool, outside school....the list goes on.
Another story i have on him, is my b-day. What can i say, i had one to many drinks, and he drove me home and dealt with me as i was destroying his truck with my heels, playing d.j and just plain ol' being silly. I remember the day i found him at the mall by IKEA and dragged him home with me to help me build the brand new toddler bed i had just bought my daughter. He put it together in less than one hour! THANK U SO MUCH ALEX!!!
WE ALL LOVE AND MISS YOU SOOOOOOOO MUCH. It took me a while to write on here, i just cannot deal with death very well, especially of a dear person like Alex.
See you again someday my friend. ;)

I never got to know the man, however just from the things Ive read about him and his passion for the little animals along with what he already achieved with these creatures he has inspired me. Makes you want to get to know people better, also to step it up yourself in hopes one day people will feel this way about you.

Alex, my memories of you are when you were a little baby, and my God, you were a beautiful baby! I'm sure you grew up to be a beautiful person, but you were taken from us too soon. I will always remember you and keep you in my prayers. God will hold you in His arms forever.

I never had the privilege of meeting Xander in person, but from knowing him on several gecko forums, he was a kind, caring person who often when out of his way to help others, and had a wonderful sense of humor.

I often dreamed of owning one of his Mardi Gras geckos someday...maybe I'll own one of his great-grand-geckos at some point.

He was an asset to the reptile community and he's irreplaceable.

He will be missed by all who knew him or were helped by him!

I know you're out there-watching over all of us who share your love of all things "herp".

Rest in Peace, "Katatonia"!

Hugs-
"Samanthajane13"
