Robert K. Boggis, 83, of Nashua, NH passed away on Monday, August 16, 2010 at Wellstone House in Raymond, NH.


He was born in Nashua, NH on July 20, 1927, the son of the late Edward J. and Dorris (Nichols) Boggis.


Bob was educated in the Nashua school system, graduating from Nashua High School, Class of 1945. He served his country in the United States Army in post-WWII Germany and was employed as a Logistics Engineer for Raytheon for 35 years. He was a member of the Salvation Army, VFW, American Legion, and the Nashua Senior Center. Bob enjoyed reading, swimming, skiing, music, crossword puzzles, wildlife, collecting rhinos, and York Beach. He especially loved spending time with his only granddaughter, Jennifer.


In addition to his parents, Robert is predeceased by a sister, Dorris V. Boggis.


He is survived by a son, Eric Boggis of Nashua; a daughter, Cynthia Allison of Scarborough, ME; a granddaughter; Jennifer Boggis of Nashua; his former wife, Rachel Boggis of Nashua; two brothers, Edward Boggis, Jr. of Claremont, NH and Donald Boggis of Milford, NH; three sisters, Alice Gabriel of Nashua, Marion Madigan of Nashua, and Helen Jesse of Keene, NH; as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.


Visiting hours were held on Sunday, August 22, 2010 from 4 PM to 5:30 PM at ST. LAURENT FUNERAL HOME, 116 ELM STREET, NASHUA, NH 03060. A Memorial Service was celebrated in the funeral home at 5:30 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Robert's name to The Salvation Army, 1 Montgomery Ave., Nashua, NH 03060, or World Wildlife Fund, P.O. Box 97180, Washington, DC 20090.
