My grandmother was Sally Dobbins Herring. My dad is Leon Herring, who is Dean's first cousin. Dean was 10 years older than me and I wasn't around him very much. My fondest memory of him is at a family picnic when I was about 7 years old. I was feeling a little "out of place", since there were no cousins my age there. Dean came over to me, picked me up and swung me around, until my laughter was apparent to all. He told me to hold my head up and just have fun! That's just what I did. He made that day very special to me. Thanks Dean!
Love and prayers are with all of the family and friends from both my Dad and myself. I know he will be missed by all who knew him. May the Lord comfort and keep you through this time.
