Kay was a special person, a very strong and smart woman. For many years she shared her sage advice, wonderful humor, and sense of family with me - I am most thankful ! So many joyous memories. Kim and Staci, I know the grief is sometimes unbearable, but be proud to be a part of her, and celebrate her life at every opportunity. She was truly one of a kind.

Last Sunday, sometime during the early morning hours, I lost my lifelong friend and soul mate, Kay Connery. We have known each other since Jr High and yet not long enough. We had marriages start and fail, pregnancies, loss of family, additions to family, raising children, frustrations, accomplishments, failures, sadness, happiness, and love come and go together. I can't begin to express how much I will miss her. She has left behind her true friend, husband, and companion, Bill. Daughters, Staci and Kim, and two wonderful grandchildren, Lexi and Hayden whom I will continue to totally absorb. Kay was too young to go, but after many, many months of pain, expense, and frustration she was ready to go. And did, peacefully. It was a surprise to us all that she would leave this soon. I loved her deeply. She has taken a part of me with her.

Mommy,
There are no words that can express how much I miss you & love you! You have been my world & meant everything to all of us! It's seems unbelievable that your gone because your the strongest & bravest Mother I could have EVER been blessed with, but atleast you can finally be in peace!! God I wish you were still here, but I take comfort in knowing you're no longer in pain & that your with Nana, Grandad & Uncle Don. Mommy I wasn't & never would have been ready for you to go, but now you are as free as a bird! May your spirit live on through Staci, Daddy, me, Lexi, little Hayden & all the others who were blessed to be loved by you!! Oh Mommy I LOVE LOVE LOVE you so much & not a day will ever go by that I won't miss you!!

I am very sad to hear about Kay, but I know that she is in a better place. The people who are in heaven are very fortunate to get to hear her laughter. She had a great sense of humor and I loved her dearly. We had MANY good times together, especially our trip to Dallas with Sunridge, where Kay,Robin and I got into trouble as usual.
Her picture is beautiful and her eyes have their same mischievious glow. Kay was one of the best property managers that I know and when she retired I didn't know what I would do without her. She was a wonderful person, beautiful both inside and out. I will constantly miss her and think of her often. My prayers go out to Stacy, Kim and Bill.

My heart broke when I heard the sad news about Kay. On the professional side, Kay was a devoted and important part of the SunRidge family for many years and I can honestly say she was one of the BEST Apartment Management Professionals I have had the pleasure of working with. Personally, I will miss Kay's fun loving attitude as there was never a dull moment when she was around! At the same time, her compassion for others was always heartwarming. I know her family must be devastated by their loss but knowing Kay, she is in heaven watching over all of you. I feel sorry for any lazy contractors up there because Kay will certainly set them straight in a big hurry! My loving thoughts and prayers are with her family. I know I will never forget Kay.
