Ted and Martha,I am so sorry for your loss. My parents, Jim and Connie Datsis, loved Ginny and Ralph. They shared so many great times on golf courses, at Owl's Head, at Colby basketball, and weekly lunches. I even have photos of your Mom cross country skiing with my mom, Van, Viv...that wonderful circle of friends. My husband, David, joins me in sending condolences to you. Ginny was a Gem!! As you know I have know you Ted and Martha since you were younger. Your mother alway made me laugh when I saw her at the hospital. She was a very happy person It will be hard to not have her to talk to or hear her voice but you all will be together someday.

I of course remember your mother with great fondness. She never failed to keep me posted on you, Ted, and she could not help but embellish your achievements. I loved it. Barbara joins me with much sympathy.

I remember her love of art very well. With her encouragement we created the "artwork" on the walls of the family garage at Gilbreth Street.
I have very fond memories of my many hours spent with the Field family.

Ginnie Field radiated joy and brought it with her wherever she went. She was a wonderful artist who shared her gifts with friends and loved ones. She loved to tell a joke -- loved to make people laugh, smile, and feel joyful...what a gift.
Even in recent years when I would pop in to say hello to "Ginnie", her smile would fill the room and she would be filled with the excitement of a child on Christmas morning.
There is a place in Heaven where many dear friends await her.
Let the celebrations begin. Ginnie's home.
