Services for Mr. Jessie Baty will be held Tuesday, June 7, 2011 at 10:00 am at Stephens Funeral Home Chapel in DeKalb. Bro. James Bailey is officiating.
Mr. Baty, 86, of Scooba, passed away Saturday, June 4, 2011 at Mississippi Care Center in DeKalb. He was a veteran of World War II and retired from the City of Scooba.
Mr. Baty is survived by his wife of 63 years, Waldene Baty, sisters, Ela Mae Gilreath of Forest, MS, Sara Gould of Louisville, MS, Faye Englett and husband Jimmy of Texas, and Martha Ann Williams and husband Tom of Mobile, AL. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. He was precededin death by his parents Frank and Carrie Baty, brother, Malcom Baty and sister Jean Brand.
Pallbearers will be Shane Baty, John Harwell, David Clay, Tyson Clay, Rex Gentry , Roy Gentry and Billy Earl Bryan.
Visitation will be held from 5pm to 8 pm, Monday at Stephens Funeral Home in DeKalb.
