She acted in more than fifty plays, including "Mousetrap", "Arsenic and Old Lace" and "Deathtrap", to name a few. She also acted in commercials in California. Having a delightful sense of humor, she loved to make people laugh and enjoyed socializing and opening her home for a variety of groups. Winkie had a very extensive collection of artifacts from all over the world. She loved animals raising Siamese cats, an iguana, several spider monkeys, as well as numerous beloved dogs throughout her lifetime. As a young woman, she accepted the Lord as her personal savior and made sure her children also knew the Lord.

To the family of Winkie Jewell,
My deepest sympathy in the loss of your mother and grandmother. Although I never really met her, while I lived in Prineville, I may have had brief encounters with her at Erickson's Bakery.
I am Diana, a co-worker of Kraig Bobbitt at Cascade View Nursing Center.

Winkie and I were in several plays together at CTC. She was a most talented actress. It was always fun to have Winkie as a member of the cast.
