inda Chapman, 65 of West Salem, IL passed in Eternity on Thursday, September 8, 2011 at her home surrounded by her family.
She was born July 21, 1946 in Olney, IL. Her parents were Stuart and Mabel (Harris) Knackmus. Linda married Robert Chapman May 10, 1964 in West Salem, IL and he survives.
She loved to garden and work with her flowers. She also loved to be around her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband; Robert of West Salem, 1 daughter; Tammy (Lloyd) James of Evansville, IN, 1 son; Tony (Milisa) Chapman of West Salem, IL, 5 grandchildren; Cassey (Ryan) VanMeter of Oakland City, IN, Brittney McConnell of Oakland City, IN, Lindi Carlson of West Salem, IL, Tony Chapman II of Collinsville, IL, Chelsea Chapman of West Salem, IL, 4 great-grandchildren; Alison VanMeter, Mason Carlson, Jeremiah Carlson and Kayla Conover.
She was preceded in death by her parents and 1 brother; Clark "Cork" Knackmus.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM, Monday, September 12, 2011 at Zion United Methodist Church in West Salem, IL. Burial will be in the Moravian Cemetery in West Salem. Visitation will be Sunday, September 11, 2011 from 5:00 – 7:00 PM at the Church.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of South Eastern Illinois.
