Mark Steven Trowbridge, a towboat captain, passed away on Tuesday, October 4, 2011, at the age of 51.
He was preceded in death by his beloved father, Fred Morris Trowbridge, Sr. and is survived by his mother, Ruth S. Trowbridge. Brother of Fred M. Trowbridge, Jr., Denise T. Bruno and Kellie T. Pagan. Uncle of Michele Trowbridge Barreca, Fred M. Trowbridge, III, Anna Bruno and Christina Bruno.
Mark was a lifelong New Orleanian who resided in Metairie and was an avid Saints fan. Friends and family are invited to attend the Graveside Service on Thursday, October 20, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at the Garden of Memories Cemetery. Please go to the Garden of Memories Funeral Home, 4800 Airline Dr., Metairie at 10:45 a.m. for the precession to the gravesite.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Poydras Home,Hunter House, 5354 Magazine St., New Orleans, LA 70115 in care of Ruth S. Trowbridge. Condolences may be offered at www.leitzeaganfuneralhome.com

A friend from afar: I met you when I visited but, you were a friend at heart from the start. My brother (Keith Neff) best friend you guys were like more than friends could be, if I ever saw two people there for each other through thick and thin it was the two of you. Mark you were such a great person and always made everyone feel comfortable around you. I will miss you on my next visit but I will never forget you ever in my heart thanks for being you and being my brothers friend. Love to you forever.
