Marguerite Bennett Austin, 89, of Winder died on Monday, November 14, 2011.
A native of Clarke Co., GA she was daughter of the late John W. and Effie Ray Bennett. She retired from North Georgia Production Credit and was a member of Union Baptist Church for 60 years. Her husband, Willie T. Austin, brother, Lester Bennett and sisters, Gladys B. Wilson, Manethae Finch, Catherine Martin, Edweaner Cheeley and Richielou Hewatt, preceded her in death.
Survivors include: her daughter and son-in-law, Debbie and Bruce Russell of Clayton; brother, Jullian Bennett of Locust Grove, VA; sister, Ella Banks of Winder; grandchildren, Bruce Russell Jr., Tonya Brock, and Donna Farmer; and great grandchildren, Sean Brock, J.R. Brock, Sam Brock and James Brock.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, November 17, 2011 from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. before the service. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, November 17, 2011 in Smith Memory Chapel with Rev. Anthony Powell officiating. Interment will be in Union Baptist Church Cemetery.

Marguerite will be sadly missed. My sister Kaye Hendrix and I were neighbors and friends with her daughter Dannie and Debbie for all of our teen years. I have alot of memories I will hold in my heart forever.
