Marian H. Terrazzano, 92, affectionately known as "Chubby", "Mrs. T." and "Sparkles", has journeyed to heaven for a joyous reunion with her beloved husband, Frederick "Terry" Terrazzano. Her family & devoted caregivers were by her side as she peacefully transitioned to her new home with dad.
Born in Lexington, Massachusetts, "Chubby" was known for her quick wit, smile, generosity and love of family and friends, outdoors and her roses. Those that knew her will miss her contagious humor, lasting smile and streak of stubborn Irish ire.
In her youth, Marian participated in field hockey, synchronized swimming and equestrian activities. She graduated from Radcliff College and Chandler Business School, Cambridge, Mass. She was then employed as an Executive Secretary for Linkbelt Industries.
In 1944, she married her high school sweetheart and one true love, Frederick P. Terrazzano, Master Chief (USN) & expert catapult engineer. They traveled extensively, living in Cuba, Italy, Massachusetts and Florida with their family.
She is survived by her daughter, Sandy Terrazzano, her son, Scott Terrazzano, and her grandchildren, Courtney Terrazzano and Christopher Terrazzano, as well as extended family & friends.
We would like to thank her private caregivers for their dedication, encouragement, and generous time given to "Mrs. T." during the past year. You made her laugh, provided comfort and allowed her to experience quality of life.
Though physically separated from us, "Sparkles" will remain in our hearts and will be remembered for her consummate smile and the hint of laughter that sparkled in her eyes. We will miss her dearly but will remember her with love and admiration.
A Celebration of her life will be held Sunday Jan 22nd at 4:00 p.m. at Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home, 1701 Beach Blvd., Jacksonville Beach, FL. Words of condolence may be shared at www.hardage-giddensbeacheschapel.com. Flowers are appreciated or donations may be made to http://kidswishnetwork.org/.

Sandy and Jamie, I have always had a deep admiration of your Father and Mother. Mr. T helped me with my tour as the Cat & Arresting Gear Maint. officer onboard USS Forrestal from 1987 to 1990. He threw a few "You Ole Plummers" at me. I remember the time he almost came after me when I had my guys weld the shuttle on cat 1. I out ran him though. Thanks for this opportunity to speak of them. They are great folks and I will remember them always. Vr/ Doug
