Has it already been 8 years? Yet feels like 38? I'm so glad you aren't here to experience this madness of COVID, but instead you're in the loving arms of your Daddy, dancing the Jig and having a blast praising Him and seeing His glorious face every moment. Your spirit lives forever in eternity, but also in my heart. I will always remember your special hugs as I walked in to the church every Sunday, and how you would always comment on my younger self riding a bike to church. I miss you today just like in 2012 and I wish I would've been able to see you again before you left us, but I also know that one day I will see you again. I look forward to the hug I'll receive when I do.

As I think back over the 30 years that we were next door neighbors I only have beautiful memories of this special woman. The last time I saw her at a local restaurant she still greeted me with her awesome hugs and kind words even after not seeing her for many years. God has called another angel home. Until we meet again at the mansion in the sky, Rest in Peace Beautiful Lady. Love and prayers for the family during this difficult time. God always gives us the strength we need.

Granny & I were joined together from the day I was born as she was the first to hold me. I was also blessed to have her give me my middle name Tamar, which if she had her choice would have been my first name. We had so many awesome times together that I will never forget. She was the best example of a Godly woman that I could ever ask to raise me. Prayer was always the answer to any problems that you had and Granny did not care where she was, if you needed prayer, she was right there. I have seen how living a faithful life to the Lord is truly the best gift you can give your family. Great is thy Faithfulness! Now to sing Granny's song: Feeling so much better talking about this good old way, feeling so much better talking about the Lord, Let's go on, Let's go on, talking about this good old way. I will see you again in Heaven! Your love is carried in my heart forever! A. Tamar

Sister Whittaker was one of those beautiful people that, once you met her, she was with you for life. Such a beautiful woman, inside and out, and now she is gone from our sight but never our hearts. Our loss is Heaven's gain. Love and prayers to her beautiful family at this time.

I will never forget the fabulous hugs she willingly gave everyone as they entered the church. And she would always talk about her memories of me as a young girl riding my bike to church. She will be missed here, but she's dancing sweet dances with her Lord. I can just hear her voice now...

Great "Nana," and grandma, we love you and miss you deeply. The memories of all the wonderful things you did for us live on and will be passed down generation by generation for eternity. Although we are grieving now, we realize that you are finally at eternal peace, home with the Lord, and home once again with your daddy and family. This helps bring us comfort. Your devotion and work will carry on in us. We love you, Ada, Julia, and Duane.
