Dear Mark,
When I first met your Dad, I was staying at your house in Alexandria one weekend while we were attending Loyola. He was going to work in full uniform, and stopped by the door of the room we were of course still sleeping in. I shot up out of bed and instinctively saluted him. Even though you told me to sit down, I was awestruck. I am saddened for you and your family's loss. I know he, and your mom, raised a good man and a good friend. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
