Allen C. “Bud” Evans, age 83, of Chillicothe, passed away Wednesday Jan. 2, 2013 at 7:13 a.m. at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.

He was born Dec. 27, 1929 in Glasford to Elmer and Jessie (Adkins) Evans. He married Norma Sue Fravell Nov. 19, 1954 in Peoria. She passed away Dec. 19, 2003 in Chillicothe. He was also preceded in death by his parents and one sister.

Survivors include three sons: Roy Evans of Yellville, AR, Rick Evans of Spring Bay, Steven (Julie) Evans of Chillicothe, one daughter, Teresa Evans of San Leon, TX, several grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, and one cousin, Kay Evans of Canton.

Bud is a veteran of the United States Navy serving during the Korean Conflict. He is retired from the Teamsters Local 627. He is a Lifetime Member of the Creve Coeur VFW Post 4835.

Funeral services will be Tuesday Jan. 8, 2013 at 11 a.m. at the Davison-Fulton Anderson Chapel in Chillicothe. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services.

Burial will be in Blue Ridge Cemetery with Military Honors.

Memorials may be made to Rescue 33 in Chillicothe.
