Aunt Ruth,
Thank you for being a part of my life, my sisters' lives and especially my mom's life. I will never forget your spirit and energy. My memories of our visits to Lake Ontario and Florida will be with me forever. I know you are somewhere now that is free of pain and heartache, and you will now truly shine! Please know that you are loved and will be missed dearly.
P.S. I'm on the lookout for a peacock!

Ruthie was certainly one of the more if not most dynamic people I have ever met. Boundless energy and a determination to do it her way. She will be missed.

Ruthie, you were a dynamo - never still for a moment. You were one of the strongest, toughest people I have ever known. Wherever you are now, I am sure you are shakin' up the place. You go girl!

Auntie Ruthie,
You were such an integral part of my life. You made our summer visits so much fun-- catching leopard frogs, watching hummingbirds, running along the path to the beach, sailing on Lake Ontario. You always had the best dogs to play with, and you gave me my first Maurgarite Henry book "Misty of Chincoteague." You were there when Bob and I came to visit and were just beginning to fall in love (and you knew it even before we did.) You and Nana-Dietz sang German songs and danced with our little son in the backyard then rocked him to sleep in the hammock. You made our trips to Florida just as enjoyable. We always looked forward to coming to visit and to see what new things you had done with your yard. You were queen of the garden. You've been in my life for more than fifty years, and I will miss you for the rest of my life.

My cousin Ruth had it all, brains, beauty, cook extrodinaire, personallity and a determined desire to do things her way. Our cross country car trip began May 1998 from Palm Harbor, Florida and ended in August at Montario Point, was one of the most memorable events in our lives. Before our departure she designed a cotton shirt " kissing cousins" one for her and one for me and also designed sneekers with our names and flowers on them. When Ruth and I attended the TV show, "THE PRICE IS RIGHT" we wore the shirt and sneekers which she designed. She said "I'm getting Bob Barkers autograph" and sitting in the front row on the isle seat just as the show ended she jumped out of her seat on to the stage and had him sign her sneekers. She was esstactic. There will never be another Ruthie and she will always be in my heart.

Aunt Ruth was such an extraordinary person -- incredibly fun-loving, loving and strong. She was a great friend and cousin to my mother, Irene. I have wonderful memories -- visiting her as a little girl in Montario Point (and playing with Sandia), her visits to my parents' house in New York, in my college years going for a girls' lunch and my first blooming onion at Outback Steakhouse in Florida, and her playing with my son and my dog at my house the Thanksgiving before last. She will always be remembered with love, happy memories, and admiration.
