Santa Rodriguez, 92, of Longwood, FL went to be with her Lord on October 4, 2013. She was born in Santa Lucia, Cuba to the late Benito Trujillo and Ramona Reyes on November 1, 1920, also known as "All Saint's Day." Santa was married to her late husband, Rigoberto Rodriguez, for 70 years prior to his passing in 2009. She was a very loving and selfless woman who was passionate about her family, cooking, sewing, and taking care of her home that she so loved. She was a woman rich in faith and attended church every Sunday. Her family will miss her dearly and will always remember her caring heart, her hard and never-ending work, and, of course, her delicious black beans and rice.
Santa is preceded in her passing by her parents; her husband, Rigoberto; 2 brothers; and 2 sisters.
She is survived by her Son, Armando Rodriguez of Nashville, TN and his children Jonathan, David, Esther and Evelyn and Daughter Marianela Pillsbury, her husband Farren of Longwood, FL and their children Adam Pillsbury and Adrienne Morales. She is also survived by her five great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, October 9, 2013 from 3-5pm at Carey Hand Cox-Parker Funeral Home, 1350 W. Fairbanks Ave., Winter Park, FL 32789.
Service led by Pastor Antonio Jose Guerra will be held Wednesday, October 9, 2013 at 6pm at the funeral home.
Entombment will take place Thursday, October 10, 2013 at 2pm at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens in Pompano Beach, FL.
