James Joe Preidt, 51, of Mt. Holly, NC died Monday, April 7, 2014 at the Robin Johnson Hospice House in Dallas, NC. He was born in Shelbyville, IN and was the son of John Preidt, Jr. and the late Barbara Wells Preidt.
Jamie was a graduate of Purdue University and was employed as a financial underwriter for Accenture.
In addition to his father he is survived by his wife, Suzanne "Suzie" Carrico Preidt; son, John Preidt, daughters, Alyssa and Kara Preidt of the home; step-sons, Joseph and Scott Ernstes of IN; brothers, John K. Preidt and Alan Dagley, both of Shelbyville, IN, sisters, Peggy Briscoe, Sheryl Akers, Dawn Rutherford all of Shelbyville, IN and Kay Campbell of Greenwood, IN.
A celebration of his life will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, April 11, 2014 at Carothers Funeral Home in Gastonia with Rev. John Palonero and Rev. Jeff Padgett officiating. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Belmont.
The family will receive friends from 6-8:30p.m.
Memorials may be made to the Salvation Army, 107 S. Broad St., Gastonia, NC 28052 or to Charlotte Rescue Mission, 907 W. 1st St., Charlotte, NC 28208.
