I feel so sad that Don had to leave so soon, he had so many years ahead of him to retire and enjoy life even more. He fought a hard battle with that cancer and I will forever praise him for being positive and willing to do what was needed to fight it.
Our childhood was filled with many good times and I feel very grateful that our father took lots of videos of us six kids throughout the years. It's fun to watch them now and reflect on those good close times. Unfortunately, as we all became adults, we drifted apart and lived in many different states.

Getting together for Jamie and Anne's wedding was a fabulous family time together that will remain in our minds and hearts forever. Don was on top of the world that entire weekend.

I will miss talking to Don on the phone and hearing his voice, but I will continue talking to him when I have thoughts of him. Rest in Peace Don.

I am so sad that you had to leave, but I know God saw that the road was getting rough for you and I know he put his arms around you and lifted you to rest and whispered peace to you. It broke all our hearts to loose you, but you didn't go alone for a part of us went with you and the love in our hearts will remain forever ! We will remember not that you passed, but that you lived and that your life gave us all memories that will never be forgotten ! May your spirit soar in love and freedom, and we'll wear your memory proudly and have forever love for you. RIP brother

We built our homes together in Port Jefferson. We were so young then. As a friend and neighbor, your enthusiasm and spirit will always be remembered.
It is a sad day. Lynne Ritzler
