Italo Martin Giarelli, 74, of Kenner, LA, entered the kingdom of God on Monday, April 28, 2014.
Italo was born February 23, 1940 in Comayagüela, Honduras to Luigi Giarelli and Crescencia Reyes. He was raised in Santa Rosa de Copan, Honduras. On December 23, 1961, he married the former Daisy Ester Urbina in San Pedro Sula, Honduras. They immigrated to the United States in 1965. Italo was employed as an electrician for the New Orleans Aviation Board.
Italo Martin is survived by his wife, Daisy Ester, his three daughters, Virna Lisa Bays née Giarelli of Mandeville, LA, Gina Lisa and Giovana Giarelli of Kenner, LA; grandchildren, Andrew and Giuliana Bays, his son in law Bryan Bays of Mandeville, LA and a loving extended family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Luigi and Crescencia, and his daughter Maria Mercedes.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend Funeral Services at the Garden of Memories Funeral Home, 4900 Airline Drive, Metairie, LA on Saturday, May 3, 2014 at 2:00 pm, and the Visitation will start at 12:00 pm. Interment will follow in the Garden of Memories Cemetery.
