Mary Lou Maitland, a resident of Madras, Oregon, died on May 27, 2014 in Bend, Oregon. She was 73 years of age.
Mary was born on June 23, 1940 in Muskegon, Michigan and was the daughter of George and Eleanor (Fields) Covell. She graduated from high school and on June 25, 1960 she married Ronald Maitland in Muskegon, Michigan. They moved to Sandy, Oregon and spent a lot of time in Gresham. They traveled to Madras and Prineville on the weekend officially moving to Madras in 1978.
Mary worked as a homemaker for most of her life and enjoyed flowers and spending time with family. She also enjoyed puzzels, scratch tickets and playing bingo.
She is survived by her husband, Ron of Madras, sons; Ronald G. Maitland, Richard M. Maitland and Randy W. Maitland, daughter; Rebecca A. Maitland and brother; Tim Thielbar of Muskegon, Michigan along with 5 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
A celebration of Mary's life will be held at a later date. Prineville Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
