Sweet Uncle Gail, What a giant of a man, always helpful, kind, full of fun, self-reliant, ingenious and always good for one big bear hug. An endearing phrase I remember Uncle Gail frequently saying to me was... "EEEH GADS,you cute little sow," and that was always accompanied with the wink of an eye that only he could give along with his great big smile, laugh and hug.
I have many fond memories of spending time during the summer at Uncle Gail and Aunt Jeanie's home enjoying time with them and my fun cousins, Lew, Leslie, Linda, Larry and Lee. I always got homesick and Uncle Gail and Aunt Jeanie always tried to make me feel better.
One of my most treasured memories is the time Uncle Gail spent with me while Daddy was sick in the hospital. He was there for me with his kind and tender ways. Even after Dad and Mom had both passed Uncle Gail came to visit my brothers and I when we got together in Susanville, still sharing in the Poulsen family fun.
What a blessing Uncle Gail has been in my life. Love You Forever and Always and a Whole Bunch More. Families are Forever and we'll be together again and then it will be forever. EEEEEH GADS what a grand and glorious time that will be.

Grandpa, you will be greatly missed. You will always hold a special place in my heart. Your smile and sense of humor always made the room brighter. You always made me feel special whenever you'd visit us. You'd say, "hey, pretty lady" and give me a hug. I love you~

Uncle Gail, family and friends. Some fond memories of mine are he seemed to always be smiling, always happy.
How bout the time he came to a family reunion and he was elected to run the 8mm movie camera and could not figure how to turn it off. Everybody was telling him "just push the little button"...his response was..."I've pushed every damn button on this thing and the green light is STILL on" we all laughed along with him.
Or when he came to hunt with us and the end of his rifle barrel had been broken off so he just taped it back on with black electrical tape...and it worked just fine. Amazing!
Or the time they drove their motor home and came to visit us in Kentucky a few days. It was like my dad came for a visit. Tell him hello for me up there. I carry his pocket knife with me every day and have since 1987. And his tape measure sits on my office shelf.
Thanks for the memories and the perpetual positive attitude!
Farewell. Love from Don Poulsen

Grandpa always had a smile on his face. He was always kind and loving. I remember visiting him after my mom and Lew got married, I'm sure all of us kids drove him crazy. He was a good man and will be missed. His kind heart will be watching over all of us. Love you Grandpa!

Uncle Gail, I still remember my first airplane ride with you in Ukiah. Surf fishing from the shore of the Pacific Ocean near Fort Bragg, CA. Watching you cast bullets from lead wheel weights and then shooting your pistol. Riding in your brother Darells' pickup on the abandoned rail road tracks from Susanville to Devils Garden along the Susan River. Thanks for helping build my unicycle. Thank you for many great memories.

Hey Dad thanks for the Memories. I am so happy you can now enjoy your family and friends with both eyes and both legs. You have taught me so much. I'll especially remember you never complaining about some of the raw deals dealt you in life. You always figured a way to sail on despite your challenges.
I hope many of your family and friends will post a memory here in your honor.
Love You, Lewis Norman Poulsen
