Sue Seals Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jun. 19, 2014.

Sue Ellen Seals, age 74, of rural West Salem, IL left this life, for the next, on Wednesday, June 18, 2014, at Good Samaritan Hospital, Vincennes, IN.
Sue Ellen was born on September 8, 1939 to Howard and Mary Lou (Pierson) Cunningham, in Olney, IL.
She married Eugene "Gene" Seals on July 12, 1958 in Norris City, IL and they have enjoyed nearly 57 years together.
Sue Ellen was a homemaker and lay speaker who thoroughly enjoyed her family; her kids and grandkids were her delight. She also loved to read, and was an accomplished student of the Bible. Sue Ellen enjoyed caring for her flowers and pets. Favorite activities were fishing and conversing with the community as they visited the orchard. She was a vibrant "people person" who could tell the best stories and have everyone around her laughing right along with her. Her robust laughter and quick wit is memorable.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two infant sons: Michael and Samuel.
She will be missed by her husband Gene, of rural West Salem, daughter Shana Schreiner of Columbus, IN, two sons: Matt (and wife Beth) Seals, of Ellery, IL, and Eric (and wife Karen) Seals of Noble, IL, and sister Patricia Weightman of Browns, IL.
She will be lovingly remembered by 9 grandchildren: Ean (and wife Lindsay) Seals, Whitney (and husband Kyle) Stuckey, Emily (and husband Greg) Perkins, Samantha Schreiner, Kaitlin, Breanna, Natalie, Eli and Sarah Seals, and four great-grandchildren: Karson, Caleb, Austin and Lukas Stuckey, and two nieces and one nephew.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2PM, on Saturday, June 21, 2014 at the Zion United Methodist Church in West Salem, IL. Burial will follow at Lick Prairie Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 PM on Friday, June 20, 2014 at Zion United Methodist Church in West Salem, IL.
Memorials may be made to the Lick Prairie Cemetery.
Ingram Funeral Home of West Salem is entrusted with the arrangements.
