I love Big Chris, he was a wonderful man...hard and tough because like my father that was the way he was raised but he was still an amazing person. He will truly be missed by those who knew and loved him especially all of us in the Ballesteros Family.

I recently had a presentation for my English class this past year. Our teacher told us to bring something from home that added significance to our lives or was of great value to us. I chose money, this money wasn't just something your Average Joe receives for working or selling. My grandfather and I would collect money, I guess you could say it was a hobby we shared when I was younger. We had pennies saved by year, nickels, dimes and quarters by state, even foreign money which was my favorite. My grandfather would always come home with a new coin for me and we'd add it to our collection. It was always something to look forward to after a day at school. He didn't have close relation with me and my siblings, so when we shared this time together it always meant more than just collecting money to me. I stood in front of my classmates explaining how much I enjoyed and cherished having these moments shared with him, and how I planned on sharing a hobby like such with my grand kids. I remember watching Bruce Lee movies and Westerns with him, and being scared of the antlers he had hanging up in the hallway. He loved to fish and I always fancied his fishing rods but never did touch them.My grandfather was many things, and he was a strong man that always told me to keep my head straight and do good in school for a great future. He wanted nothing but the best for our family and I'm more than confident that he would be proud of what my family has accomplished and will accomplish in the future. I wish I could have gotten one more day with him. I love him like any granddaughter would love her grand father. May you rest in peace Papa we miss you.

I dont remember my grandpa much, but I do still remember him. He was a remarkable man. When I used to see him he would always want my siblings and I to get everything we wanted. I remember when he would come home he would invite me to his and my grandmas room and he would show me something/an item he would collect that day. Usually he would already know what that item was and he would tell me about it. But when he didn't know he would ask me if I knew what it was. The best part about that is not knowing what the item was. We could sit there all day and guess the wildest thing which was entertaining for me. After we guessed of what the item was he would get rid of it. Which was most of them, but only a few stayed. I'm not sure if he kept them tho. Once he brought home this rock. It was our favorite. It looked like a marble, but it was an oval shape not circle. We came to the conclusion it wasn't a marble. Instead of some random color twist inside a clear glass rock, this rock wasn't so clear it was like a dingy grey. And there was a color scheme of little colors on the inside. We were so clueless about what it was. We sat there and guessed for half an hour. But we never thought of what it was. We named it something but I can't seem I remember what it was. It was our favorite item. I haven't seen or talked to my grandpa in a couple of years. If I had the chance to talk to him one last time I would of told him I loved him and asked him if he ever thought of what that mystery rock was. It sucks that I didn't get to say goodbye to him one last time. I love you grandpa. May You Rest In Peace.
