Richard "Rick" Zanon
age 59. Passed into eternal life with his savior on August 8, 2014 at home, surrounded by his adoring family, after a valiant and heart wrenching battle with pancreatic cancer. Rick is survived by his loving wife; Migdalia (nee Rivera), proud children; Angela (Jeremiah) Nicholas, Benjamin (Whitney) and Trina, 3 cherished grandchildren, his beloved mother; Geneva, 7 siblings, along with other relatives and many friends. His father Henry preceded him in death. Funeral service 6:00 PM on Monday August 11, 2014 at Spring Creek Church, N35 W22000 Capitol Dr., Pewaukee, WI 53072. The family will greet relatives and friends on Monday at the church from 4:00 PM until the time of service and at a reception to be held afterwards. Private interment Sunnyside Cemetery in Lannon, WI. In 1996, Rick began his lifelong dedication to meeting the needs of seniors as they transitioned into Senior Living Communities. Rick has always felt great compassion and dedication towards serving the needs of older adults. As his business grew, so did his passion to serve others. He expanded his business to include Senior Day Trips with Universal Transportation. Consign W/US was opened in Sussex as a consignment shop dedicated to assisting seniors as they downsize their homes. Rick's business also included Universal Services Freight and Logistics Management, which served the needs of many of Wisconsin's larger corporations. Throughout his career, he formed many close personal, business and spiritual relationships with a wide circle of people. A gifted athlete, Rick took great care to stay active playing racquetball and softball as recently as last June when symptoms of his disease made necessary a prolonged and uncomfortable hospital stay. Rick's strong relationship with Jesus Christ, his loving family support, and his strong personal character made possible an inspiring good cheer and acceptance even in the presence of great physical discomfort. In lieu of flowers, the family has a memorial established
for "Trina's College Fund" at US Bank in Sussex, WI.

My condolences to the Zanon family. Rick's company picked up from us (Plexus) regularly and it was always nice to see him when he made the trip himself. Was always in a good mood and very easy to talk to and get along with. Always enjoyed talking to his son Ben as well.

Please accept my sincere condolences and prayers. I met Rick about 24 years ago and was able to attend his beautiful wedding to Migdalia and in turn 9 months later they attended ours. Over the years we lost touch, however I could never forget the warm, caring, bigger than life personality of Rick's. He made everyone feel like they were life long friends immediately. This is such a loss for the world as he cared deeply for others.

My heart is aching for all of Rick's family. I'm very sad to be out of town and unable to attend Rick's memorial service..
Riding a Harley was on my bucket list and Rick helped me cross that off. :-) Rick was my friend first and then my boss.
How do you ever fill the shoes of someone as life loving and joyful as Rick? RIP my friend.....

My sincere condolences to Rick's family and his Universal Services family. I knew Rick through Universal Services; he was such a caring and genuine man. He took such good care of each of the senior families that he served at Forest Ridge. He will be missed.

Tp a very special family..my heart goes out to you. I remember Rick as a child on vacations with his siblings and parents in MI where his little hip was attached to big bro, David. As adults, we will now miss a valiant, capable and personable friend and my personal first cousin. Aunt Gen, what a job you have done and please be proud of the phenomenal children you guided to adulthood. You are to be commended. To the other cousins in this group..I love you. Rick, may you be granted eternal rest. Love, Mary Amelia
