Barbara Ann Day, 81, passed away Thursday August 7, 2014 at Hospice Ministries. Funeral services will be held 11am Tuesday August 12, 2014 at Briarwood United Methodist Church. Visitation will be Monday evening from 5pm till 7pm at Wright & Ferguson Funeral Home Jackson, MS and Tuesday from 10am till 11am at the church. Burial will be in Lakewood Memorial Park.
Ann was born in Jackson, MS; she graduated from Central High School in 1950. She attended M.S.C.W., she was a member of Briarwood United Methodist Church for more than 40 years where she taught Sunday School. She was an avid Bridge player and a Life Master.
Ann was preceded in death by her mother, Emma Burchfield and her father, Thomas E. Warner, also two aunts, Ernestine Burt and Jimmye Ryerson.
Survivors include her husband John L. Day, son, John L. Day Jr. and wife Kelley of Atlanta, GA., two cousins Judy Jones and Husband Eddie, and Janet Henn and husband Frank.
Memorial may be made to Briarwood United Methodist Church, 320 Briarwood Dr., Jackson, MS 39206 or to the charity of your choice.

I will miss Mrs. Day so much. She was such a special person and I am lucky to have had her has a friend. I will especially miss her weekly visits of her stopping by to stay hi and checking on us. She was the best!
