Bill was one of the best soldiers in our artillery unit. He was a kind man from whom I heard no harsh words toward his fellow soldiers. The guys in Headquarters Battery really liked and respected Bill as I did. Master Sergeant Wade Martz (Ret.) gave me the sad news that Bill passed. We shared that with many retired fellow soldiers as Bill had lots of friends that served with him. My condolences to his family. Gordon Lake 1SG (Ret.)

My Dad and Mom (Pastor Alex and Irene McIntosh) became neighbors of Bill and Barb in May 2005. A few summer seasons had passed and Bill just started mowing their yard, just like that. Bill would mow Bill's yard, then the next neighbor's yard, then on down the next yard to Dad and Mom's yard. Dad would start mowing, so Dad and Bill would be mowing Dad's yard together. It was so sweet to see. This went on for a few seasons. Dad went to Heaven in August 2011, now Bill is up there with him. And they are having the time of their lives. One Glorious Day we will be re-united and what a day that will be. Barbara, I will pray for courage and strength the rest of your days here until you are re-united with Bill. That you will keep on keeping on and may you feel the Lord's Presence in these very sad, difficult times. With love, Teresa McIntosh

I met Bill in 2003 at the monthly St. Paul UMC Mens breakfast shorty after I started attending church there. He was the head cook and I always looked forward to the eggs, bacon, biscuits and gravy and whatever else he decided to fix on the first Saturday of the month. Bill would always greet you with a big smile and a firm handshake. He was very dedicated to our church and his neighborhood in Highland Village. Bill will be sadly missed by our congregation.

Bill was always such a sweet man who would greet me with a smile. I remember his dedication to the United Methodist Men and his willingness to get to the church early and cook for hours to prepare breakfasts to support the youth group mission trips. He certainly had a servant's heart. He will be missed at our church.
