Christopher Scott Dowling - Oct. 24th, 1970 to Sept.7th, 2014
After a short illness, our youngest son, Christopher slipped from our realm. Chris was born here in Stockton at St. Joseph's Hospital and attended local primary schools. He graduated from St. Mary's High School as well as continuing his education taking technical classes given by the major automobile manufacturers. He was a local mechanic for over sixteen years. He loved boating, water skiing, hunting and fishing in our Delta. He loved guiding his step daughter, Cheyenne through her formative years and took great pride in that task. He enjoyed cooking for friends and family.
We will miss his broad smile, sparkling eyes, and infectious laugh. He was truly a social animal. He had a hard time working alone on his own things, but would spend all day helping complete your project. He was our son, brother, uncle, nephew and grandson. We loved him and he will be truly missed.
In the early 2000's he moved to Manteca where he bought a home and resided at the time of his death. He soon had a whole new set of friends. He is the son of Robert and Jane Dowling, brother of Michael Dowling of Stockton and Uncle of Timothy Michael Dowling presently pulling duty with the Army in Korea. He is the nephew of Ron and Carol Whitney of Martinez, Ca as well as Betty Harrington of Lodi, Ca. He is the cousin of Jetti Luckoski (Stan) now living in Conroe Texas.
There will be a Celebration of Life gathering for Chris on Saturday, Sept. 20, 2014 at First Baptist Church 3535 N. El Dorado St. Stockton starting at 3:00PM. We invite all of his many friends to come and help us say fair well until that time when we shall meet again.
We are requesting that en lieu of flowers that you donate to your favorite charity or to our local Hospice.

To Bob and his entire family:
Matt & I feel so much sadness for the loss and pain you are going through. We know your dear son, Chris, left you too early in life! With your faith, family and friends, life should have better days but we're sure the pain will never quite disappear.
Sincerely,
Matt & Jill Thurston
